Hi, I’m Mary!

After fifteen years educating my own children, I launched a tutoring business to teach the essential skill of reading. In 2006 I completed the level 1 certification in the Wilson Reading System, an Orton-Gillingham approach to teaching students how to read and spell. While this method is frequently used to teach students with dyslexia, the skills that are learned can benefit all struggling learners. I have worked with students in the public and homeschool settings, both in-person and virtually.

I am a Member of the International Dyslexia Association, and I love coming alongside students and their families as they navigate the sometimes difficult but fulfilling road to becoming a successful reader!
